How to get started with your project
Accounts
- Contact Fulya Horozal to get a subversion account for the panta rhei repository
- Register in this trac using your subversion account and also add your eMail under settings
- Send your subversion username to Christine Müller to receive respective access rights
Familiarization (writing)
- Get familiar with Subversion
- Checkout your supervision directory (You will receive the respective URL from your supervisor). In /project/jobreport.tex, we expect you to enter your weekly reports, commit them just in time and send an eMail notification to your supervisor.
- Get familiar with our infrastructur (e.g., how to set up latex for collaboration with KWARC)
Familiarization (developing)
- Familiarize with the specific settings for your operation system (here we focus on Ubuntu) and your programming environment
- Checkout your pantarhei developing branch and familiarize with the code. Contact other developers for help.
- Run the panta rhei system on your local machine; see our installation guide and FAQ for Developers for help.
- Ask your supervisor for a site on the server to test your future implementation.
Tasks
- Complete your assigned tickets. Note, all ticket discussion have to be entered into the trac, i.e. no eMail discussion between the developers. You have to use the trac system only.
- Feel free to create tickets on bugs and suggestions (owner=cmueller)
- Stick to our guidelines and workflows
- Back up your code and writings regularly (daily or more often) --- we have Subversion, so please use it!!!
